$Invesco QQQ Trust(QQQ.US)$SPDR S&P 500(SPY.US)

The first week of a 10-year dollar-cost averaging plan.

Purpose: Many people know about long-term dollar-cost averaging, but few actually execute it. I see some people trying hard to buy high and sell low every day 🤣, so I want to personally verify this through practice.

1. If I start dollar-cost averaging at a peak in the US stock market, will I get stuck at the top?

2. Can I really make money in the long run? Looking back at the past x years, it works, but past performance does not guarantee future results. Just because it made money before doesn't mean it will continue to do so. Practice is the sole criterion for testing truth.

Strategy: Invest 4 times a month, weekly DCA on Fridays, $500 each time, split evenly between Nasdaq and S&P 500.

I bought as soon as the market opened today.

Principal: $500

Market Value: $501.18

Total Return: $1.18 (0.24%)
