Rate Of ReturnSeveral conditions for holding onto stocks
1. [Have confidence in the company you bought]
If you only know the stock code, you can't hold on. If you have only a superficial understanding, it's even worse—you'll stubbornly hold on for a while and finally sell when it crashes.
2. [Can afford to be wrong]
If you have over 20% margin financing or are using 2x or 3x ETFs, it's very hard to hold on when you see your principal losing money.
3. [Admit that you cannot predict the market]
If you feel you can predict and think a crash is coming, why not run? Then there's indeed no need to stubbornly hold on, but this is also why most retail investors lose money in a bull market: selling low and chasing high.
I'm currently mainly holding SK Hynix, Tesla, and Nvidia~ I can sleep soundly and wait slowly.
In terms of risk control, I removed 40% of the margin financing a few days ago and replaced it with 10% calls, which have now been halved, leaving only 5%. But it can't fall much further, so I can be relatively at ease.
I really want to add to my SK Hynix position now, but position size determines mindset. Only by not increasing margin financing can you let it rise and fall freely.
Control your position size to control your mindset.
The stock market is not an intelligence test; it's a psychological test~
Let's encourage each other~
