$Tesla(TSLA.US) Amazon has made chips, Meta and other companies say they will use its chips, so the semiconductor sector has taken off in this wave.
AMD, ARM, and Intel are also taking off. Are we back to semiconductors again? Although the concept of semiconductors is very broad, the industry has been circling around hardware in recent years, and there's no way around it. After all, large models need chips for training and as a carrier.
So what's the next hardware? Or will it be a software explosion?
Currently, what we can see is that AI has knocked down a bunch of software, especially SaaS software. But in essence, no matter what, most SaaS software cannot be completely replaced. The only visible applications are various token-burning in image generation, AI video, and coding. The most common areas we see are AI industry applications in software refactoring, rapid application development, and black/gray industry content like NSFW, etc. Most scenarios seem to be about replacing software. So, isn't this just tearing down and rebuilding the software market?
I don't think this is a bubble because it's the direction of progress for the era. AI has indeed changed a lot, but actual productivity hasn't fully taken off yet. So, can we find the SanDisk, Lite-On, and New Epoch of the AI application era? 🤔
