Miami federal jury has ruled on a 2019 Autopilot fatal accident in Florida, requiring Tesla to pay approximately $243 million to the victim's family and the injured, with punitive damages reaching $200 million. According to U.S. judicial practice, the compensation amount is usually significantly reduced after appeal. More importantly, over a dozen similar lawsuits are also being investigated by NHTSA. If more courts accept the "marketing misrepresentation" theory, Tesla may face batch settlement expenses and software function restrictions, which could also affect the FSD subscription price and Robotaxi timeline.
2.$ANTA SPORTS(02020.HK)
Recently, market rumors suggest that Anta Sports is about to complete the acquisition of the American sneaker brand Reebok and has already completed the actual payment. Today, Anta responded by stating "no comment on market rumors, and recommends relying on official company announcements." Previously, Adidas had sold the Reebok brand to the American brand management company Authentic Brands Group (ABG), and Anta had participated in the bidding when Reebok was first sold in 2021. If this acquisition is completed, it will be another major international sports brand acquisition by Anta Group following FILA, Descente, Amer Sports, and Jack Wolfskin.
