$Tesla(TSLA.US) earnings call irony of ironies: When IR head Travis Axelrod skipped a question about future products, saying the earnings call wasn’t the “appropriate venue” to discuss future products, and then segued without a shred of irony to a question regarding the Optimus humanoid robot, which Musk said “had the potential to be the biggest product of all time,” and elaborated for several minutes about its “truly dexterous hand” and Tesla’s target of “making 1 million Optimus robots per year,” and of the product’s “immense manufacturing challenge considering that the supply chain doesn't exist” — so in short, also clearly a future product because consumers cannot buy one today.
