$Intel(INTC.US) $NVIDIA(NVDA.US) - INTEL–NVIDIA DEAL: WHAT IT MEANS FOR SEMI EQUIPMENT

Nvidia is investing $5B for a 4% Intel stake, lifting Intel shares nearly 23%. The firms will co-develop PC and data center products, but no foundry deal means Nvidia won’t use Intel to make GPUs.

Analysts expect no near-term boost to wafer fab equipment, as Intel’s 2026 capex is set to fall. Instead, suppliers may benefit from advanced packaging and test demand, with FormFactor highlighted as a winner from Intel’s chiplet-based PC designs.
