The Iranian regime is trying to find an off ramp out of this mess. A week ago they had a good deal on the table, it is now gone.
They have been largely exposed and bitch slapped by the Israelis, a country of 1/10 the size of Iran. The future deal will be inferior to anything they could have easily gotten a week ago. Israelis have re-claimed the regional enforcer status - which pretty much makes the Saudi Israeli deal a total certainty at this point. Russia and China pretty much ditched the Iranian regime. The strikes on Israeli civilian infrastructure are painful but not strategically challenging to the Israelis, while every day the Israelis are chewing away at the regime and the IRGC assets around the country. This will be remembered as one of the biggest blunders by the Iranian regime since 1979 and no amount of posturing is going to erase the shame…The copyright of this article belongs to the original author/organization.
