HSBC steps up Hong Kong share buy-back, cancelling 340,000 shares
HSBC Holdings repurchased 340,000 ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange for cancellation at prices between HK$159.20 and HK$161.10. This transaction brings total repurchases since August 5, 2026, to 786,000 shares, valued at approximately US$16 million. The buy-back signals ongoing capital returns to shareholders and marginally reduces the bank's share count and voting rights.
