The E Fund Energy Storage Battery ETF (159566), which tracks the CSI New Energy Battery Index (980027), has seen capital inflows, with a net inflow of 1.781 billion yuan over the past six months and a cumulative net inflow of 5.752 billion yuan over the past year.
Recently, CATL signed a strategic cooperation agreement on sodium-ion energy storage with Dutch energy infrastructure company Alfen. The two parties plan to deploy a total of 5GWh of Tianheng sodium-ion energy storage systems in the Netherlands and other Western European countries starting from 2027.

Bernstein released its Global Energy Storage Tracking Report, stating that global energy storage battery demand is expected to reach 1,023GWh (gigawatt-hours, a unit of electrical energy equivalent to 1 million megawatt-hours) in 2026, a year-on-year increase of 86%. The report noted that China's cumulative energy storage battery shipments for the first five months reached 406.9GWh, up 107% year-on-year, with capacity utilization rising to 94%.
The E Fund Energy Storage Battery ETF (159566) tracks the CSI New Energy Battery Index, which selects 50 listed companies in related fields such as battery manufacturing, energy storage battery inverters, energy storage battery system integration, and battery thermal management and fire protection.
