According to news from Micron Technology's Japanese website on July 4th.
Micron has started the expansion project of a new cleanroom/new manufacturing building in Hiroshima, Japan, to enhance Japan's advanced memory manufacturing capabilities.
This is to increase HBM production capacity.
The new cleanroom will take until at least the second half of 2028 to go from construction start to having output, with significant shipments only after that.
This gradually verifies that the capacity expansion mentioned after Micron's earnings call is focused on high-end memory.
