Although I feel I'm not the right person to say this because I'm an options player, I've been through roller coaster rides time and again, each filled with regret and the euphoria after big gains. I'm not really a technical trader; I just buy based on gut feeling and decide to hold after buying. I think the best thing I do is control my position sizing, and that's what has kept me alive.

I don't know why I'm suddenly saying all this, but I'm really emotional. The feeling of being trapped in a losing position is so painful. Playing the US stock market really requires conviction.
