Personally, I think Longbridge's "thermometer" indicator is quite useful, especially for someone like me who does index fund dollar-cost averaging. When the thermometer indicates overvaluation, the amount for index fund DCA won't be too high, or I can temporarily slow down the DCA frequency. That's my personal opinion, especially for those who don't have that much capital to deploy.
