On the news front, the Secretary-General of the Passenger Car Association stated that in 2026, lithium batteries, as a key export category among China's "New Three" products, maintained high growth rates before the reduction in export tax rebates. Lithium battery exports reached $14.2 billion in January-February 2026, an increase of 46%.
CITIC Securities believes that the lithium battery industry chain has entered a peak season stage characterized by "volume leading, price following." Although domestic sales face short-term pressure, new energy vehicle exports surged 110% year-on-year in March, showing strong export performance. Coupled with the increase in the electrification rate of commercial vehicles, power battery installations continue to grow year-on-year, and overseas demand is expected to become a core support for the industry.
