On February 9, 2026, leading software product, solution, and service provider $ASIAINFO TECH(01675.HK) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Shanghai Gesi Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd. (“Gesi Aerospace”) in Shanghai on February 6 for cooperation in low-orbit satellite internet technology. Dr. Tian Suning, Chairman of AsiaInfo Technology, attended the online witnessing ceremony. Dr. Ouyang Ye, CEO, CTO, and IEEE Fellow of AsiaInfo Technology, and Mr. Cao Jin, General Manager of Gesi Aerospace, attended the signing ceremony, marking the official transition of AsiaInfo Technology's Aero-Space Intelligent Connection business from strategic planning to substantive implementation.
According to the agreement, the two parties will leverage their complementary strengths to engage in in-depth cooperation in areas such as “direct satellite-to-phone connectivity” and “satellite-borne communication, sensing, computing, and intelligence.”
Mr. Tian Suning stated: “We are confident in the prospects for China's commercial aerospace development. Humanity is about to enter the era of the Internet of Agents (IOA). Faced with the intensifying international competition in low-orbit satellite constellation deployment and vast future commercial demand, relevant ministries have issued guidelines to promote the development of the satellite communication industry, bringing significant benefits to the sector. The cooperation between AsiaInfo Technology and Gesi Aerospace, relying on an AI-native system of software, hardware, products, and solutions for next-generation intelligent communication, connection, and sensing encompassing ‘communication, sensing, computing, intelligence, and security,’ will inject strong momentum into the development of China's low-orbit satellite technology and the prosperity of the satellite internet industry.”

During the meeting, a “First Call” satellite phone witnessing ceremony was held. Dr. Ouyang Ye and Mr. Cao Jin jointly answered the first satellite call connected via AsiaInfo Technology's NTN satellite-borne base station.
