Options are a paradox
Most people must have bought doomsday options themselves, fantasized about tripling, quintupling, or even tenfold overnight, and then got liquidated before they can understand the options experience shared by others, realize that options amplify gains while magnifying losses even more, and understand why some people always desperately advise newcomers not to touch options
Diversify positions, keep cash, buy more long calls/puts, play doomsday with minimal positions, set stop-loss
These are the repeatedly emphasized options trading principles in the community, but no one listens until they actually get liquidated
