Some time ago, my dad was obsessed with buying and selling various funds on Alipay, even to the point of being a bit over the top, thinking that a 10% increase was no big deal.

I then educated my dad on investment principles, the basics of stock investing, and how powerful private equity and quantitative trading are these days.

At this point, my dad blurted out: "Do ordinary people like us really have no chance to make money at all?"

Unfortunately, reality is just that harsh.

For ordinary people, there really is no chance to make money.

And the more ordinary people want to get rich, the more likely they are to be scammed, the more likely they are to be taken advantage of, and the more likely they are to lose all their money.

This is one of the fundamental laws of society.
