I. Timeline
✔️ May 5, 2014: Yi Chenyang joined UBS Hong Kong, beginning his investment banking career.
✔️ August 29, 2015: Left UBS; at this time, his father Yi Huiman was the President of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC).
✔️ November 3, 2015: Joined CICC Hong Kong. Half a year later, Yi Huiman was promoted to Chairman of ICBC; more than three years later, he was transferred to head the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC).
✔️ During this period: Yi Chenyang and Gu Gongzi (son of Gu Jiangang, Yi Huiman's protégé) completed an "epic project worth tens of billions," making a name for themselves; subsequently, Gu Gongzi joined CICC as a deal-maker.
✔️ November 4, 2022: Attended the "Hong Kong Listing 18C Policy Analysis and Process Recommendations" sharing session as Executive General Manager of CICC and delivered an important speech.
✔️ June 26, 2023: Promoted to RO (similar to a sponsor representative in mainland China) at CICC Hong Kong; half a year later, Yi Huiman resigned from the CSRC.
✔️ As of September 9, 2025: Yi Chenyang is still working at CICC Hong Kong.
