Zhenzhuo Financial News, September 9 - KLN Logistics Group Limited (00636.HK) co-organized the "Kwai Love Initiative - Charity Haircut Day" with the Hong Kong Chinese Christian Youth Association (YMCA) on September 7. YM HAIR, a social enterprise under YMCA, provided professional haircut training to 40 newly recruited "KLN Volunteer Hairdressers" before the event, offering free haircut services to 80 elderly residents in Kwai Tsing District on-site, thereby establishing meaningful connections with the community and improving the quality of life for the elderly.
On the day of the event, in addition to haircut services, KLN and YMCA meticulously planned a series of diverse activities for the elderly, including a "Smart Health Station" where registered nurses conducted routine health checks for the elderly, and interactive senior-friendly technology and digital board games were arranged to promote physical and mental well-being in a relaxed atmosphere. At the end of the event, the KLN volunteer team also distributed gift bags and meal boxes to each elderly participant as a token of appreciation. Together with previous volunteer activities, the charity haircut program has benefited 120 elderly residents so far.
KLN has always been committed to giving back to society. Since 2022, through the "WE KARE" program, it has further promoted diverse volunteer services, collaborating with non-governmental organizations and social enterprises to encourage employees to actively participate in public welfare and build a caring community. The program, with the motto "Take Good Care of Everyone," revolves around five core elements of care: "Show Vitality," "Focus on Health," "Happy Work," "Connect with Family," and "Care for the Community." This charity haircut day is one of the practical implementations of the "Care for the Community" concept.
