$NVIDIA(NVDA.US) The relationship between China and the United States has completely broken down...

The U.S. government has notified NVIDIA that they need a license to export H20 integrated circuits and chips with similar performance to China (including Hong Kong and Macau) and D:5 countries. This requirement aims to prevent potential use in Chinese supercomputers and will take effect indefinitely from April 14, 2025.

NVIDIA expects to record expenses of up to $5.5 billion in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026 (ending April 27, 2025) related to H20 products, including inventory, purchase commitments, and related reserves. These expenses reflect the immediate financial impact of the new export restrictions on the company's operations.
