
Rate Of ReturnI think the market's reaction to SpaceX $SpaceX(SPCX.US) is understandable, but I see the massive capex as the cost of building long-term competitive advantages rather than a red flag. Launch capacity, Starlink expansion, and next-generation infrastructure all require enormous upfront investment before they translate into stronger cash flow.
To me, this earnings season is sending a consistent message. Companies that can prove AI and infrastructure spending will generate future returns will continue to attract capital, while investors are becoming much more sensitive to execution and profitability. Short-term volatility is likely to remain high as expectations rise.
I remain constructive on the long-term outlook for SpaceX. If management can demonstrate that today's heavy investment leads to faster revenue growth, improving margins, and stronger free cash flow over the next few years, I believe the current pullback could eventually look more like an opportunity than a warning sign.
