Respectfully, I don’t believe a significant number of $Netflix(NFLX.US) subscribers will follow Elon’s lead and cancel their NFLX subscriptions just because NFLX employs Hamish Steele, the gay creator of the animated series Dead End: Paranormal Park.
Steele, who had previously incorporated transgender themes into the show (which was canceled by Netflix in 2023), drew backlash after referring to conservative activist Charlie Kirk as a Nazi on social media and criticizing UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer's public tribute to him. Netflix has not issued an official response to Musk’s post or Steele's comments as of noon today. Steele, meanwhile, addressed the drama on Bluesky, calling it "genuinely funny" that Musk had engaged with the show and noting it had already been canceled years ago.$Netflix(NFLX.US) -2.0% (vs NDX +0.5%) today on Elon’s posts.
