$Apple(AAPL.US) - CHINESE BUYERS SAY NEW IPHONE 17 SCRATCHES EASILY

Chinese customers report the iPhone 17 lineup scratches quickly, sharing photos of damaged devices on social media.

The issue appears worst on the deep blue iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max and the black iPhone Air, with scuffs seen on store display units in Hong Kong and Shanghai. A related Weibo hashtag drew 40M+ views on Friday.

It’s unclear how widespread the problem is. The iPhone 17, Apple’s first major redesign in years, uses an aluminum shell marketed as more scratch-resistant.
