Why did I bought Google a month ago?

$Alphabet(GOOGL.US) $Alphabet - C(GOOG.US) Everyone knows Google. I did my research and saw how undervalued they were and determined the reason (the lawsuit) was stupid because, even if it were broken up, I'd get shares of the Chrome (or whatever) spinoff as well.

There's other ways to do it. You can find publicly traded companies in stock index listings on the internet (S&P 500/400/600, Dow Jones Total Market Index, Extended Market, small/med/large/mega cap indexes, etc).

One thing I've learned is that you should not worry about what others say. Don't buy stuff just because it's the hot stock. Don't refuse to because of doom and gloom. Nearly every time I've had an idea to buy a stock and decided not to because someone else said not to, I missed out on huge gains.

Also, don't be stupid about it. Take Warren Buffett's advice and buy great companies at good prices. If you can't find any, just throw it into a low-cost ETF until you do then sell that to buy shares.
