
Ambarella, a maker of auto and IoT chips, sees limited room for dual sourcing in leading edge (LE). Currently only 2-3 companies dual source in LE as tape-out costs could run up to $10s millions. Alternatively, AMBA sees its foundry provider Samsung's capacity in US and Korea as a geopolitical hedge. Taylor fab could offer 2nd location outside Korea for LE clients.
