MUSK BACKS OFF TRUMP CRITICISM AFTER PRESSURE FROM VANCE, WILES: WSJ

Elon Musk apologized for recent attacks on Donald Trump after a call from Vice President JD Vance and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles urging him to de-escalate.

"I regret some of my posts... they went too far," Musk wrote on X Wednesday.

Tensions peaked June 5 after Musk criticized Trump’s tax policy and implied links to Epstein—claims he later deleted. Trump fired back, threatening to cancel government contracts with Musk’s companies. Tesla shares dropped 14%, erasing $150 billion in value.

Vance played a behind-the-scenes role in mediating, and Trump has since hinted he’s open to reconciliation, saying, “I don’t blame him for anything.”
