
Micron won Nvidia’s approval for a new kind of AI memory called SOCAMM (small outline compression attached memory module), beating South Korean rivals SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics, media report, citing unnamed sources. Nvidia designed SOCAMM and had asked all 3 chip makers to develop prototypes.
