In an article by Reuters earlier today, more clarity was given surrounding the DOJ Coinbase investigation, which when announced last Thursday spiked the stock downward with a 5% drop in a single 5min candle. Since then $Coinbase(COIN.US) has recovered and is up ~10% from the lows Thursday
- A source told Reuters that “Coinbase is not under DOJ investigation, DOJ is investigating the criminal actors,”
- Paul Grewal, Chief Legal Officer for Coinbase commented, “We have notified and are working with the DOJ... and welcome law enforcement’s pursuit of criminal charges against these bad actors,”
