The CES 2025 (International Consumer Electronics Show), also known as the "Tech Spring Festival Gala," will kick off in Las Vegas, USA from January 7th to January 11th.

As the first and largest technology event of the year, what content is worth paying attention to?

1. NVIDIA$NVIDIA(NVDA.US) 、AMD$AMD(AMD.US) 、 Samsung and Toyota's keynote speeches

Before the official opening of the exhibition, some attendees will hold press conferences and small events from January 5th to 6th.

AMD is scheduled to hold a press conference on Monday afternoon at 2:00 PM Eastern Time. At that time, it is expected to launch its next generation GPU to compete with Nvidia's RTX 5000. As part of its rebranding plan, the company may launch the RDNA 4 graphics card, or name it the RX 8000 or RX 9000 series.

Samsung Electronics is scheduled to hold a press conference on Monday evening at 8:00 PM Eastern Time. Samsung is expected to continue announcing its progress in television and home appliances, with a speech topic of "AI for All: Everyday, Everywhere". It is predicted that the company may also showcase consumer robots, but it is unlikely that such products will be put into commercial production.

Toyota is scheduled to hold a press conference on Monday evening at 19:00 Eastern Time. At that time, Toyota Chairman Akio Toyoda is expected to report on the latest progress of his "Woven City" project, with a focus on how startups are integrated into the project and whether Toyota has successfully built a complete ecosystem driven by hydrogen fuel cells. According to the previous public information, "weaving the city" aims to test and develop new technologies such as hydrogen energy, autonomous vehicle, robots and artificial intelligence.

In addition, other noteworthy speeches were given by Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X platform, and Ed Bastian, CEO of Delta Air Lines, on Tuesday Eastern Time.

2. AI remains a major focus, and industries such as automobiles and robots are also worth paying attention to

Artificial intelligence undoubtedly continues to be a hot topic at CES 2025.

On the basis of the 2024 conference, AI will be more widely applied to various products this year, including cars, refrigerators, etc. According to Huafu Securities' previous expectation, the landing of AI terminals will become the core theme of this exhibition. This year, it will focus on the acceleration of AI underlying technology innovation and in-depth exploration of AI application landing scenarios. Innovative products supported by AI will be launched intensively.

The automotive industry will also be one of the highlights of the exhibition. In addition to Toyota, it is expected that Sony will continue to promote the pure electric model Afeela, which is in cooperation with Honda, at the press conference.

In recent years, robots have increasingly become the focus of attention at CES, and it is expected that most transportation companies will discuss this topic, covering manufacturing to electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles (eVTOLs). Companies such as Hyundai may showcase their attention to humanoid robots and other robotics technologies.

CES remains the main showcase for computer displays. Currently, Samsung, Asus, and MSI have all launched 27 inch 4K OLED displays with a refresh rate of 240Hz on the eve of the conference.

Considering the development of generative AI technology and the successive release of intelligent assistant functions by Google, Amazon, and Apple, it is expected that the highly favored smart home appliance industry may also usher in a wave of "new releases". At present, LG has released relevant information, and Samsung should also announce its latest progress on Monday.

After experiencing the hype, Extended Reality (XR) products have been proven to have room for improvement. The current situation in the industry is that Vision Pro has not taken off as expected by Apple, and there are no competitors who can compete with Meta's flagship VR headset product Quest. Leading companies such as HTC and Magic Leap have basically turned to enterprise applications.
