Tesla's EV sales in China increased 8.8% year-on-year in 2024 to more than 657,000 units, setting a new monthly delivery record in December, accounting for 36.7% of global deliveries.
Despite a slight decline in global deliveries, Tesla still outperformed BYD in sales in China. To boost sales, Tesla has launched promotions, including discounts on the Model Y and an extension of the financing agreement.
