The demand for Nvidia$NVIDIA(NVDA.US) G200 servers has fallen short of expectations, with an expected shipment of 60000 GB200 servers over the next 25 years.

The latest news is that it has been downgraded to 40000 units, with Microsoft reducing it from 20000 units to 12000 units, Amazon reducing it from 11000 units to 7000 units, Google reducing it from 9000 units to 4000 units, and Meta reducing it from 6000 units to 3000 units. The four major cloud providers have reduced their total number of units by 20000 units.

The main reason for the decrease in demand for G200 servers is that TSMC's mass production has been difficult and the yield rate has been relatively low. Previously, the market expected to start shipping in the fourth quarter of 2024, but now it has been extended to the first quarter of 2025.

In addition, GB300 servers with more mature and powerful computing power will be mass-produced and shipped in the fourth quarter of 2025. Many large factories have lowered their procurement scale for GB200 and are preparing to directly purchase more advanced GB300
