The demand for NVIDIA G200 servers is below expectations. Previously, the expected shipment volume for the GB200 servers in 2025 was 60,000 units.

The latest news has revised this down to 40,000 units, with Microsoft reducing its order from 20,000 units to 12,000 units, Amazon from 11,000 units to 7,000 units, Google from 9,000 units to 4,000 units, and Meta from 6,000 units to 3,000 units, totaling a reduction of 20,000 units among the four major cloud providers.

The main reason for the downward adjustment in demand for G200 servers is that TSMC has been facing difficulties in mass production, with a consistently low yield rate.

Previously, the market expected shipments to start in the fourth quarter of 2024, but this has now been extended to the first quarter of 2025.

Additionally, with the more mature and powerful GB300 servers set to begin mass production and shipping in the fourth quarter of 2025, many large companies have reduced their procurement scale for GB200 in preparation to directly purchase the more advanced GB300.$NVIDIA(NVDA.US)
