According to Zhitong Finance APP, following the release of the Hy3 preview at the end of April, Tencent Hunyuan officially launched Hy3 on July 6. Hy3 demonstrates significantly stronger intelligence levels than models of the same size and matches the performance of larger flagship models, greatly enhancing its practical value in various products and productivity tasks.
It is reported that Hy3 has further improved the quality and diversity of post-training data based on the preview version, expanded the scale of RL computing power, and made significant progress in tasks such as reasoning, intelligent agents, and long context, achieving results comparable to larger flagship models both domestically and internationally (whose parameter scale is often 2 to 5 times that of Hy3).
Hy3's advancements in productivity tasks such as software development, office productivity, financial modeling, front-end design, and game production are particularly notable, making it a reliable choice with high cost-effectiveness. In a blind test conducted by 270 experts within the organization based on real work models, Hy3 (average score 2.67/4) outperformed GLM5.1 (average score 2.51/4), especially showing significant advantages in categories such as front-end, data and storage, and CI/CD.
Hy3 has been open-sourced under the Apache 2.0 license on GitHub, HuggingFace, ModelScope, and GitCode. Thanks to a series of optimizations in software and hardware collaboration, Tencent Hunyuan has also further reduced the API prices for Hy3 on Tencent Cloud and the usage costs in products like WorkBuddy. The Hy3 API pricing (per million tokens): input 1 yuan, output 4 yuan, input (cache hit) 0.25 yuan.
From rebuilding infrastructure at the end of January to releasing the Hy3 preview in April, and now iterating and upgrading to Hy3 today, Tencent Hunyuan has completed the entire R&D chain from underlying infrastructure to product implementation in less than half a year
