Understanding the Market | CIG rises over 8% as NVIDIA details Rubin's full liquid cooling solution; the company has begun mass supply of 800G OSFP DR8 optical modules
CIG's stock price rose over 8%. Benefiting from NVIDIA's release of the Rubin all-liquid cooling solution, the market is paying attention to its liquid cooling business. The company has globally pioneered the immersion liquid cooling 800G OSFP DR8 optical module, which has been supplied in bulk and can significantly reduce operating temperature and power consumption compared to traditional air cooling, aligning with the cooling needs of AI data centers
According to Zhitong Finance APP, Cambridge Technology (06166) has risen over 8%, currently up 8.44% at HKD 159.4, with a trading volume of HKD 2.486 billion.
In terms of news, recently, NVIDIA introduced its Rubin 100% liquid cooling technology on its official social media account. NVIDIA stated that the Rubin liquid cooling solution can raise the coolant temperature to a maximum of 45 degrees Celsius, achieving a perfect combination of efficient heat dissipation and reduced energy consumption. Additionally, this technology employs large cold plates, microchannels, and other technologies to optimize the internal heat exchange effect of the entire machine. As the power consumption of a single cabinet exceeds 200kW, NVIDIA's Rubin architecture is upgrading liquid cooling from a localized component cooling solution to a core mainstream architecture for ultra-large-scale AI data centers, achieving "full-link liquid cooling and minimizing reliance on air cooling" at the system level.
Public information shows that Cambridge Technology's liquid cooling business focuses on immersion liquid cooling technology. Compared to traditional air cooling, optical modules operating in immersion cooling liquid can significantly improve heat dissipation efficiency. Previously, at the OFC exhibition, the company demonstrated its 800G QSFP-DD DR8 immersion liquid cooling optical module on-site, resulting in a temperature reduction of at least 10°C, and the power consumption of a single module can be reduced by 0.5W to 1W. Currently, the company has globally pioneered the immersion liquid cooling 800G OSFP DR8 optical module, which uses self-developed optical path and liquid path isolation patented technology and has been supplied in bulk
