The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index initially closed down 0.4%. Among popular Chinese stocks, WeRide initially closed up 9.5%, JinkoSolar rose 6.5%, Li Auto and GDS Holdings rose up to 2.8%, Pinduoduo rose 1.8%, BYD rose 1.7%, Meituan, Tencent, New Oriental, and Xpeng saw gains of less than 1%, JD.com, Alibaba, and Yum China fell up to 0.4%, NetEase, NIO, and Baidu fell up to 1.7%, Xiaomi fell 2%, and AutoHome fell 3.7%.
