Trump initiates "retaliation mode," publicly demands Microsoft to fire former Justice Department officials, Microsoft briefly fell 1.2% after hours

In June this year, Lisa Monaco was disclosed to serve as Microsoft's President of Global Affairs. She previously served as Deputy Attorney General in the Biden administration for four years, and Trump has long accused her of pushing various investigations against him. Analysts believe that Trump is retaliating against the former officials of his administration whom he feels have "wronged" him, and Microsoft's stock price initially fell 1.2% after hours before rebounding
Former President Donald Trump publicly demanded that Microsoft Corporation fire its President of Global Affairs, Lisa Monaco, claiming she poses a threat to U.S. national security.
On September 27, former President Trump posted on social media, calling for Microsoft to immediately terminate Lisa Monaco, believing that the former Deputy Attorney General under the Biden administration has engaged in numerous misconducts. Trump claimed in his post:
She is a threat to U.S. national security, especially considering the significant contracts Microsoft has with the U.S. government.
Trump further emphasized:
Due to Monaco's many misconducts, the U.S. government recently revoked all her security clearances, canceled her access to all national security intelligence, and prohibited her from entering all U.S. federal properties.
Monaco served as Deputy Attorney General for four years during the Biden administration, and Trump has long criticized Monaco, claiming she used her position to lead multiple investigations against him.
As a major provider of cloud infrastructure and productivity software to U.S. government agencies, Microsoft recently committed to offering significant discounts for cloud services to government entities.
Trump's latest remarks undoubtedly bring new uncertainty to Microsoft's vast and sensitive government business. After hours, Microsoft's stock price briefly fell over 1.2%, before rebounding slightly to a decline of about 0.2%.

Trump has long had a “dislike” for Lisa Monaco
Although Lisa Monaco's appointment was disclosed in June this year, a post by Fox Business Channel anchor Maria Bartiromo on social media brought the hiring event back into the public eye.
On September 26, local time, Maria Bartiromo posted:
Lisa Monaco has a "fun new job" as President of Global Affairs at Microsoft.
Monaco served as Deputy Attorney General for four years during the Biden administration, and Trump has long criticized Monaco, accusing her of using her position to push for various investigations against him.
Notably, the day before Trump posted his demand to fire Monaco, the U.S. Department of Justice had just indicted former FBI Director James Comey.
Analysts believe this clearly indicates that Trump has taken action to retaliate against those government officials he claims have wronged him.
