Li Auto's pure electric i6 is released! There is only one configuration for the entire series, priced at 249,800 yuan

On September 26, Li Auto officially launched the all-new pure electric SUV model, Li Auto i6, further strengthening its position in the mid-to-high-end pure electric market.

The new vehicle is inspired by "sharks" in its design, balancing innovative styling with space utilization, starting at a price of 249,800 yuan. Under CLTC conditions, it boasts a range of up to 720 kilometers and is equipped with a self-developed 5C ultra-fast charging lithium iron phosphate battery. On the day of the launch, the vehicle was simultaneously displayed in stores nationwide and test drives began, with the first batch of deliveries starting the following day.

Li Auto stated that the i6 has made comprehensive breakthroughs in battery, aerodynamic drag, space, intelligent configuration, and energy replenishment experience. The new generation 5C lithium iron phosphate battery can provide 500 kilometers of range with just 10 minutes of charging, achieving a comprehensive range of 720 kilometers under CLTC standards. The vehicle offers both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions, equipped with motor systems of 250 kilowatts and 400 kilowatts, respectively.

The person in charge stated that since 2023, the company's annual R&D investment has exceeded 10 billion yuan, and these investments are being transformed into leading advantages in areas such as the three electric systems, space utilization, and energy efficiency, aiming to provide users with a pure electric travel solution that closely resembles the experience of using a fuel vehicle.

Shark-Inspired Design Establishes a Differentiated Image for Pure Electric SUVs

The Li Auto i6 adopts a design language inspired by sharks, with body dimensions of 4.95 meters in length, 1.93 meters in width, and 1.65 meters in height, and a wheelbase of 3 meters. The design team emphasized that most pure electric SUVs on the market currently follow the style of traditional fuel vehicles, and the "shark" design of the Li Auto i6 aims to establish a differentiated visual identity. In terms of contour, two-tone body, and low-profile front face, it emphasizes a visual tension that combines fluidity and power, forming a stark contrast with the mainstream designs of existing pure electric SUVs.

Li Auto expressed the hope that through this design, it can break the limitations of traditional pure electric models that reference fuel and extended-range SUVs, allowing the Li Auto i6 to stand out as an easily recognizable "new species" among "land animals."

The low aerodynamic drag design not only enhances the technological feel of the exterior but also brings actual energy consumption benefits. It is reported that the high-speed energy consumption of the Li Auto i6 can decrease by 20%, with a net energy consumption of 13.6 kilowatt-hours per 100 kilometers.

In terms of interior space, the longitudinal usable space exceeds 3.3 meters, equipped with a 16.8-inch head-up display, a 3K dual-screen, and a 21.4-inch 3K display screen in the rear. The vehicle is equipped with a Dolby 7.3.4 surround sound system with 22 speakers, and the seats can be fully reclined to form a bed function

5C Charging Redefines the Refueling Experience

The core competitiveness of the Li Auto i6 is concentrated on its breakthrough in battery technology. The vehicle is equipped with a 5C lithium iron phosphate battery that achieves industry-leading charging efficiency, taking only 15 minutes to charge from 10% to 95%, significantly reducing user waiting time.

Compared to traditional lithium iron phosphate batteries, which may have an internal resistance up to 15 times that of room temperature in low-temperature environments, the Li Auto i6 effectively resolves this issue through an ultra-low internal resistance design. Even in a very low battery state, the vehicle can maintain a cruising speed of 120 km/h, with the four-wheel-drive version showing an acceleration performance difference of no more than 0.5 seconds at 20% battery.

The vehicle is also equipped with the most efficient thermal management system in its class, with an efficiency exceeding 3. By integrating the motor and battery thermal management systems, it can enhance the range by over 50 kilometers in low-temperature environments.

Charging Network: Leading Layout of Self-Built Supercharging Stations

To alleviate the refueling anxiety of pure electric vehicle owners, Li Auto has built over 3,300 self-operated supercharging stations, ranking first among automakers. In terms of the highway network, the company has laid out over 1,000 supercharging stations, connecting the nine vertical and nine horizontal main networks, with an average of less than 150 kilometers between each Li Auto supercharging station.

The "You Su Tong" supercharging stations launched by Li Auto are optimized for Li Auto's pure electric models, allowing a maximum charging power of 400 kilowatts even during busy periods. The large-scale deployment of this charging network provides important support for the market promotion of the Li Auto i6.

The new vehicle also offers an optional towing package, including a 3,000 yuan manual tow hitch and a custom bicycle rack, further expanding its usage scenarios. The Li Auto i6 will begin delivering to the first batch of users on September 27, with an 8-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty on the three electric systems.
