On September 25th, Xiaomi held a new product launch event, unveiling the Xiaomi 17 series, Xiaomi Pad 8 series, and numerous new tech home appliances.

The starting price of the Xiaomi 17 is 4,499 yuan.

In terms of configuration, the Xiaomi 17 features a 6.3" screen, is as thin as 8.06mm, and weighs only 191g; it uses Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass, which improves drop resistance by 10 times; the entire device supports IP68 dust and water resistance, making it extremely durable and reliable.

Regarding heat dissipation, Lei Jun mentioned that the battery life of the Xiaomi 17 is particularly impressive, almost achieving double that of the iPhone 17. It may be a bit of an overstatement.

In terms of battery life, it also benchmarks against Apple, with the Xiaomi 17 equipped with a 7000mAh Xiaomi Jinsha River battery, 100W Xiaomi Surge wired fast charging, and 50W Xiaomi Surge wireless fast charging.

The Xiaomi 17 Pro series features an innovative "Smart Enjoy Back Screen," covered with Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass, allowing for clock settings, AI portraits, AI pets, and various personalized wallpapers, as well as notifications for important information like travel and music.

There are four color options: Forest Green, Cool Smoke Purple, and classic Black and White.

Compared to the 17, the upgrades include the main camera Shadow Hunter 950L (with a larger 1/1.28-inch sensor) and a periscope telephoto lens.

In terms of battery life, it has a 6300mAh battery capacity, achieving a new high in battery life, with a body thickness of only 8mm; innovative stacking has created the smallest mainboard in Xiaomi's history.
