The U.S. Supreme Court did not take immediate action on Trump's dismissal of Cook

Cook has held her position since Trump announced at the end of August that he would replace her. Trump cited allegations of mortgage fraud as the reason for her dismissal, which she denies. The Supreme Court is weighing the government's request to overturn a court ruling that declared Trump's dismissal efforts illegal and prohibited the Federal Reserve from enforcing that ruling
