Honor and Alibaba sign AI strategic cooperation agreement
Honor and Alibaba signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Hangzhou on September 9, focusing on AI ecology, models, and capabilities for comprehensive collaboration. Honor's Magic V5 phone is equipped with Alibaba's self-developed AI model and integrates Fliggy travel and Amap intelligent services. Alibaba has invested over 100 billion yuan in AI infrastructure and product development and plans to invest an additional 380 billion yuan over the next three years
According to Zhitong Finance APP, on September 9th, Honor and Alibaba (09988) officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Hangzhou. Honor Terminal Co., Ltd. CEO Li Jian and Alibaba Group CEO Eddie Wu jointly attended and witnessed the signing. Both parties will focus on strategic areas such as AI ecology, AI models and capabilities, and internet business ecology, carrying out comprehensive, multi-level, and systematic cooperation to jointly create a prosperous AI ecosystem, providing Honor MagicOS users with a smarter, safer, and more convenient user experience.
It is reported that earlier on July 14th, Alibaba announced a deepened AI ecological cooperation with Honor. The flagship foldable phone Honor Magic V5 released by Honor is equipped with Alibaba's self-developed Tongyi Qianwen large model and integrates Alibaba's online travel platform Fliggy and digital map service provider Amap's intelligent agent for the first time on a smartphone terminal.
As one of the hot spots in recent years, Alibaba is vigorously increasing its investment in AI. In the past four quarters, Alibaba has invested over 100 billion yuan in AI infrastructure and AI product research and development.
In February of this year, Alibaba Group CEO Eddie Wu announced that in the next three years, Alibaba will invest over 380 billion yuan to build cloud and AI hardware infrastructure, exceeding the total amount of the past decade
