On Monday (September 8, the day after the U.S. non-farm payrolls), the South African FTSE/JSE Africa Top 40 Index closed up 1.39% at 95,384.96 points, breaking the previous closing historical high set on August 25.

As of 23:14 Beijing time on September 8, spot gold rose to $3,646.46 per ounce, continuing to set a new historical high, with an increase of over 1.66%
