
The People's Bank of China has increased its gold holdings for the 10th consecutive month

As of the end of August 2025, China's central bank's gold reserves reached 74.02 million ounces, an increase from 73.96 million ounces at the end of July, marking the 10th consecutive month of gold accumulation. Meanwhile, China's foreign exchange reserves also rose from USD 3,292.24 billion to USD 3,322.154 billion
On September 7th, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange's statistical data showed that as of the end of August 2025, China's foreign exchange reserves in August were USD 3,322.154 billion, up from USD 3,292.24 billion.
