On September 4th, Everbright Pramerica Fund announced that Gao Ruidong, who previously served as the director of the research institute, chief economist, and general manager of the institutional business headquarters at Everbright Securities, was appointed as the general manager of the company on September 2nd.

Previously, Everbright Pramerica had appointed Gong Juntao, who served as the general manager of the institutional business headquarters at Everbright Securities, as the deputy general manager and chief marketing officer.

Thus, the trend of appointing professionals from the market driven by the previous general manager Liu Xiang has been interrupted, and Everbright Pramerica has begun to appoint more professionals from within the major shareholder system.

The largest shareholder's "voice" has strengthened

Tianyancha shows that Everbright Securities is the controlling shareholder of Everbright Pramerica Fund, holding a 55% stake.

The second largest shareholder, Pramerica Investment, holds a 45% stake.

The recent appointment of two consecutive general managers of the institutional business headquarters of Everbright Securities to Everbright Pramerica Fund may reflect that Everbright Securities' "voice" in the executive team has been strengthened.

Who is Gao Ruidong?

On September 4th, Everbright Pramerica Fund announced that Gao Ruidong was appointed as the general manager of the company on September 2nd, and He Jingzhe will no longer serve as the acting general manager but will continue to serve as the deputy general manager, chief operating officer, and chief information officer.

Public information shows that Gao Ruidong holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Waseda University. He has previously served as an employee, manager, and senior deputy manager in the Strategic Development Department of China Cinda Asset Management Co., Ltd., a senior macro analyst at Zhongtai Securities Research Institute, and the chief macro analyst and executive director at Guotai Junan Securities Research Institute.

In December 2020, he joined the research institute of Everbright Securities, serving as the deputy director and chief macro economist until November 2022. From November 2022 to October 2023, he served as the deputy director and chief macro economist (fully responsible for the daily management of the department), and from October 2023 to May 2024, he served as the director and chief economist of the research institute at Everbright Securities, and from May 2024 to August 2025, he served as the director, chief economist, and general manager of the institutional business headquarters at Everbright Securities.

Gong Juntao has been in office for a year
