Former Federal Reserve Vice Chairman: Several regional Fed presidents may be replaced next year due to political manipulation by Trump

According to Bloomberg Television, former Federal Reserve Vice Chair Lael Brainard hinted at a substantial risk that several regional Federal Reserve Bank presidents may be dismissed next year due to politically charged manipulation by President Trump. Brainard served on the Federal Reserve Board from 2014 to 2023. "The president is essentially trying to change the composition of the majority of the board well ahead of the anticipated timeline for institutional structure and term planning." This opens the door for the possibility that some presidents may not be reappointed when all Federal Reserve chairs are up for renewal in February next year
