Elon Musk plans to create a new AI company called "Giant Soft" to challenge Microsoft

Elon Musk calls for joining his artificial intelligence company xAI, planning to create a company named Macrohard to compete against Microsoft. He stated on the X platform that although the name is a joke, the project is real. xAI has applied for the Macrohard trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, which is widely seen as a provocation against Microsoft. The conflict between Musk and Microsoft founder Bill Gates has a long history, with both sides having disagreements in multiple areas. Microsoft has not yet responded to this
According to Zhitong Finance APP, Tesla (TSLA.US) CEO Elon Musk called on everyone to join his artificial intelligence company xAI on Friday to counter software giant Microsoft (MSFT.US). Musk stated on the X platform: "Join @xAI to help create a pure AI software company named Macrohard. Although the name is somewhat humorous, this project is real! In principle, since software companies like Microsoft do not produce any physical hardware, they should be able to be fully simulated by artificial intelligence."
According to previous media reports, xAI submitted a trademark registration application for "Macrohard" (meaning "giant hard") to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on August 1, an action widely seen as a public provocation against Microsoft.
It is understood that as early as July 14, Musk hinted on the X platform that xAI was preparing an AI subsidiary focused on programming and image generation, at which time netizens speculated that the new company would be named "Macrohard."
Musk's entanglement with Microsoft founder Bill Gates has a long history. Musk has repeatedly publicly accused Gates of shorting Tesla, harming the interests of ordinary investors. The two also have significant differences in their positions on climate change, electric vehicles, and other areas.
