
BlackRock heavily invested in U.S. stocks "Seven Giants" in Q2, building positions in Circle and eToro

BlackRock's position report for the second quarter of 2025 shows a total market value of $5.25 trillion, a quarter-on-quarter increase of 0.112%. It added 265 stocks, increased holdings in 2,144 stocks, reduced holdings in 2,649 stocks, and completely exited 238 stocks. Among the top ten holdings, NVIDIA, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, and META occupy the top five positions, with respective holding values of $301.728 billion, $289.282 billion, $235.707 billion, $156.386 billion, and $122.771 billion
According to the disclosure by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), asset management giant BlackRock submitted its second-quarter holdings report (13F) for the period ending June 30, 2025.
Statistics show that BlackRock's total market value of holdings in the second quarter was $5.25 trillion, up from $4.76 trillion in the previous quarter, representing a quarter-on-quarter increase of 0.112%. The fund added 265 new stocks to its portfolio in the second quarter, increased its holdings in 2,144 stocks, reduced its holdings in 2,649 stocks, and completely exited 238 stocks. The top ten holdings accounted for 28.07% of the total market value.
In BlackRock's top ten holdings for the second quarter, large technology companies still dominated.
Among the top five holdings, NVIDIA (NVDA.US) ranked first, with approximately 1.91 billion shares held, a market value of about $301.73 billion, accounting for 5.47% of the portfolio, an increase of 0.42% from the previous quarter.
Microsoft (MSFT.US) ranked second, with approximately 582 million shares held, a market value of about $289.28 billion, accounting for 5.51% of the portfolio, a decrease of 0.29% from the previous quarter.
Apple (AAPL.US) ranked third, with approximately 1.149 billion shares held, a market value of about $235.71 billion, accounting for 4.49% of the portfolio, an increase of 0.76% from the previous quarter.
Amazon (AMZN.US) ranked fourth, with approximately 713 million shares held, a market value of about $156.39 billion, accounting for 2.98% of the portfolio, an increase of 1.34% from the previous quarter.
META (META.US) ranked fifth, with approximately 166 million shares held, a market value of about $122.77 billion, accounting for 2.34% of the portfolio, a decrease of 0.02% from the previous quarter.
The top ten holdings also included Broadcom (AVGO.US), Alphabet-A (GOOGL.US), Tesla (TSLA.US), Alphabet-C (GOOG.US), and JP Morgan (JPM.US).
In the second quarter, BlackRock also established new positions in "stablecoin leader" Circle (CRCL.US) and social investment platform eToro Group (ETOR.US), among others.
In terms of changes in holding proportions, the top five purchased stocks were: NVIDIA, Broadcom, Netflix (NFLX.US), Amazon, and Tesla.
The top five sold stocks included: Procter & Gamble (PG.US), Visa (V.US), Chevron (CVX.US), Merck (MRK.US), and Thermo Fisher Scientific (TMO.US)
