CITIC Lyon: Tencent Holdings Limited and NetEase-S have both obtained approvals for multiple important games from NPPA
CITIC Lyon released a research report stating that the National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) of China approved 134 licenses in July, with Tencent Holdings Limited and NetEase-S both receiving approvals for several important games. The report indicated that Tencent's domestic mobile game revenue in July declined year-on-year, mainly due to the underperformance of Dungeon & Fighter: Origin (DNF Mobile). However, almost all other well-known games achieved significant year-on-year growth. NetEase's mobile game revenue benefited from a 70% year-on-year increase in Eggy Party. Meanwhile, this summer, the popularity of shooting games has significantly risen, with both new releases and existing games performing strongly. Additionally, in August, Tencent is expected to launch Valorant Mobile, while NetEase is expected to release the PC version of Diablo II
