
Japanese Finance Minister: The reduction of tariffs by the United States will decrease the impact on Japan's GDP by 0.2 percentage points
Japan's Finance Minister Kato Katsunobu stated that the reduction of tariffs on automobiles and other related products from 25% to 15% by the United States will reduce the impact on Japan's actual GDP growth rate by 0.2 percentage points. Even with the U.S. lowering the tariff rate, Japan's actual GDP may still decline by 0.3% to 0.4% each fiscal year. The government will continue to analyze how tariffs and developments in other countries will affect Japan's domestic industries and employment, and will take necessary measures
