
Federal Reserve Governor Kugler resigns
The Federal Reserve announced that Governor Adriana Kugler has resigned, effective August 8. She has submitted her resignation to U.S. President Trump, with her term originally set to expire in January 2026.
The ICE U.S. Dollar Index maintained a decline of 0.95%, stabilizing around the 99-point mark, generally hovering near the daily low of 98.679 points that occurred after the release of the non-farm payroll report and the U.S. ISM Manufacturing Index.
Previously, Kugler had been absent from the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) monetary policy meeting on July 29-30 due to personal reasons and did not vote (online).
Spot gold slightly rose in the short term, with the overall increase expanding to over 2%, refreshing the daily high to $3,358.08
