Zou Yingguang, General Manager of CITIC Securities Co., Ltd., spoke at the CITIC Securities 2025 Capital Market Forum, stating that against the backdrop of ongoing turbulence in global capital markets, China's capital market has demonstrated unique resilience. In addition to further solidifying confidence in the capital market, a market ecosystem that is more coordinated in investment and financing, and better at protecting investors, is gradually taking shape. Improving the quality of listed companies and investment returns is the cornerstone of capital market development. In 2024, total market dividends reached 2.4 trillion yuan, and listed companies implemented share buybacks of nearly 150 billion yuan, both setting historical highs. Currently, the market's dividends and buybacks have far exceeded the total scale of IPOs, refinancing, and reductions in holdings. Furthermore, the entire chain of issuance and listing, information disclosure, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and trading has further enhanced regulatory effectiveness. Serious illegal activities such as financial fraud, fraudulent issuance, market manipulation, and insider trading are being severely punished, and the capital market ecosystem is continuously optimizing.
