Xiaomi previews strategic new product launch conference, featuring the Xuanjie O1 self-developed chip and the Xiaomi 15S Pro+, the first SUV to be unveiled

According to Zhitong Finance APP, Xiaomi (01810) will hold a strategic new product launch conference at 7 PM tonight, during which it will unveil the new mobile phone SoC chip "Xuanjie O1," the new flagship phone Xiaomi 15S Pro, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, and Xiaomi's first SUV, Xiaomi YU7. Xiaomi's Chairman and CEO Lei Jun previewed on Weibo that the Xiaomi YU7 is expected to officially launch in July, and the pre-launch event tonight will not announce the official price or open for small deposits.

It is noteworthy that Xiaomi's self-developed mobile phone SoC chip "Xuanjie O1" is the biggest highlight of this launch event. Lei Jun expressed his feelings while reviewing Xiaomi's chip development journey, from the setbacks encountered in 2014 with the establishment of the Surge S1 chip project, to accumulating technical experience in the "small chip" fields such as fast charging and imaging, and then resolutely restarting large chip development in 2021, formulating a long-term investment plan of "50 billion in ten years." Xiaomi has indeed faced many challenges on the road to chip development. As of the end of April this year, the cumulative R&D investment in the Xuanjie project has exceeded 13.5 billion RMB, with a research and development team of over 2,500 people.

From a technical parameter perspective, the "Xuanjie O1" uses a second-generation 3nm process technology, with a transistor count reaching 19 billion. Its CPU features a "1+3+4" octa-core tri-cluster design (Cortex-X4 super core + A720 middle core + A520 efficiency core), and its GPU performance is comparable to Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with an AnTuTu score exceeding 1.92 million and AI computing power reaching 40 TOPS. Geekbench 6 test data shows that this chip has a single-core score of 3119 and a multi-core score of 9673, demonstrating impressive performance.

Xiaomi's first SUV model, YU7, is also a major highlight of this launch event. According to information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the YU7 is positioned as a large pure electric SUV, with a body length close to 5 meters and a wheelbase of 3000mm. In terms of the power system, the Xiaomi YU7 offers single and dual motor versions, equipped with lithium iron phosphate and ternary lithium batteries, supporting pure electric drive with a maximum range of 820 kilometers, and also supports 800V high-voltage fast charging (charging for 5 minutes provides a range of 200 kilometers). Additionally, this model enhances ecological interaction with Xiaomi phones and tablets, such as supporting UWB seamless unlocking and interconnection between the vehicle and smart home functions
